She needed a drink. And a hug. She needed to be held. She closes her eyes, tears slipping out and skimming her cheeks. "I wish you were here." She speaks in a whisper. He made the offer and she was going to take it. She needed his presence. She had taken the offer quickly, but when you feel like you're drowning, what else do you do when offered a life preserver? His outside perspective, and yet intimate knowledge of her, would give her the objectivity she had been craving.

"Can you come? Would you be able to do this for me?" It was a lot to ask of him and in most other cases she wouldn't have, but he had caught her in the right state of duress and said the right words. She had no need to feign strength when they both knew the truth.
